I have an active and growing studio! As of January 2013, I teach exclusively from my private studio at my home in Hyde Park.
I use the Suzuki method and teach violin and viola to people of all ages and levels of musical experience. I am known for my innovative approach to teaching adult students and for my focus on body awareness and physical conditioning. Music theory is a major component of my teaching style. All of my students receive music theory and sightreading training integrated into the lesson. Private lessons in beginning music theory are also available.
I am a member of Music Teachers of Hyde Park and the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Through both of these organizations, my students have access to many performance and enrichment opportunities.
Currently, I am working on posting recordings and relevant information for my students at all levels. So far I have done the beginner pages, and am working to determine the appropriate copyright guidelines to post recordings from Suzuki materials.
